Essays - this information is for 2011 and is subject to change during 2012.
Some universites give credit for work done at the summer school. In order to obtain 5 ECTS credits students are required to write an essay related to one or more topics tackled in the lessons of the summer school.
The essays should be of a minimum of 5000 words. The papers should satisfy basic academic standards: i.e.: it should have references to the relevant literature and a bibliography at the end. The suggested font is Times New Roman 12 and 1,5 line spacing. All pages should be numbered and the first page should contain the following data: title of the essay, your name and your current postal address (if different from the one specified in the summer school application).
The deadline for submitting the essays is 7 September 2011. The papers will have to be sent electronically to the Director of the Summer School.
Evaluators will grade them with PASS or FAILED and write a short evaluation. In case your university requires a more detailed grade system, please inform us at the same time when submitting the paper. Grading will take approximately between 3 and 4 weeks. Once the grading is completed the University will issue a credit transcript that will be sent to you by regular mail between one and two weeks after grading has been completed. If you need to have the credits before September please inform us before the end of the school.
